Role of Clinical Care Assistants:
- Overseeing a consistent caseload of patients, under the guidance of a nurse, with supervision that may be either direct or indirect, contingent upon the competencies established at that time.
- Delegated controlled acts may be performed once the student’s competency has been established, with all tasks conducted under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Tasked with providing support for activities related to daily care, including hygiene, meal assistance, patient transport, monitoring vital signs, and other responsibilities commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, such as those of a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) student.
Work Assignment, Schedule & Availability:
Should you express interest and be selected, you will be appointed to a Temporary Casual Non-Union Position. You must be prepared to work during daytime, evening, nighttime, and weekend hours, encompassing schedules of both 8 and 12 hours in duration. We are also prepared to accommodate your existing commitments and your preparation for the NCLEX examination, as applicable.
