Job Details:

  • Position: Home Health Aide (Part-time)
  • Pay: $15.00 – $21.02 per hour
  • Location: 30-45 miles from Shawnee Mission hospital, including Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Douglas, Johnson, Miami, and Franklin counties in Kansas, as well as Clay, Cass, Jackson, and Platte counties in Missouri.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.), weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Duties:
    • Assist home health patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
    • Collaborate with skilled nursing (SN), physical therapy (PT), and occupational therapy (OT) teams.
    • Provide essential healthcare services under the supervision of a nurse.
    • Ensure proper communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Daily Tasks:
    • Complete visit notes and time sheets on time.
    • Participate in team meetings and provide timely updates on patient progress.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and privacy standards.
    • Report any issues or changes in patient condition to the supervisor.
    • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Kansas Home Health Certification (16 hours of practical training supervised by a certified registered nurse).
    • American Heart Association BCLS certification.
