Role and Responsibilities:
The appointed candidate will collaborate with the Clinical Support Team to ensure the provision of consistently high-quality patient care and the maintenance of high-quality practice standards.
This position provides an opportunity to develop your technical expertise and animal-care skills while gaining experience in patient care. You will be an integral member of a sizable multidisciplinary team, where each day will be different and hectic. We expect you to approach your work with the utmost care, to take great pride in it, and to take the initiative to make the world a better place for canines.
By the directives of the veterinary surgeons and/or registered veterinary nurses, our patient care assistants perform a variety of tasks. Among their responsibilities are the following:
- Providing in-patient care within the wards, including but not limited to feeding, medicating, walking, tidying, and patient care.
- Patient confinement
- Implementation of appropriate infection control measures across the hospital, including the adherence to designated area protocols for routine cleaning schedules.
