Remuneration:

The assistant remuneration scale for the Department of Health Care is as follows: €30,755 multiplied by 11 represents a maximum annual pro-rata salary of €43,123. Long Service Increment (LSI): €43,909 is payable annually pro rata at the utmost end of the scale after three years. Additional compensation will be required for night duty labor, public holidays, and weekends.

Probation:

The position is subject to a nine-month probationary period that commences on the date of appointment. If the employer determines that the appointee is unsuitable to continue working, employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period. The employer has the authority to extend the probationary period.

Travel:

Upon appointment, the individual must furnish proof of indemnity from their insurers, payable to the employer, and their vehicle. For official duties that necessitate travel, reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided at the appropriate rate. The service vehicles will be operated by the appointed candidates as required.
